Fourth straight loss for Argentina (74-20)



Ajay Thakur yet again fashioned another win for his team India in the Kabaddi World Cup 2016 at the The Arena by TransStadia here today. They beat hosts Argentina with consummate ease at 74-20 to get into the top two with 16 points in 4 matches. Argentina, on the other hand, remains on zero points in 4 matches in sixth place. The first two points of the game were picked up by India, who were desperate for a good start. But it was as bad as it got for the Argentina in the first half as the India then took six in a row, with Ajay Thakur scoring a few successful raids in his very first effort. In the 20th minute, the India side scoreline read 36-13. Ajay Thakur’s outstanding performance made him the top scorer of the match. He bagged total 14 points including three tackle points and 11 raid points. Captain Anup Kumar too played his role to perfection He led the side admirably and bagged two raid points for India. Nahuel Lopez bagged five points from his raids. Sebastian Canencia bagged three tackle points including one successful super tackle.
