Patna Pirates defeat Bengaluru Bulls 31-25 in a convincing win
Defending Champions Patna Pirates inflicted a loss on the visiting team Bengaluru Bulls with a 31-25 win to maintain their undefeated streak in Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 campaign.
Pardeep Narwal with 8 raid points ably supported his Kuldeep Singh who got a high 5.
Rohit Kumar and Surender Nada with 9 and 4 points each carried their team, but a poor defensive output by their teammates meant their efforts went in vain.
The Patna Pirates went into the fourth match against Bengaluru Bulls as the unbeaten tournament favorites. Usual suspect, Pardeep Narwal opened the scoring for the Patna Pirates with a deft hand touch. At the other end, Rohit Kumar took out Patna Pirates cover, Kuldeep in a do or die raid to make it 1-1. Captain Dharmaraj Cheralathan made sparse use of himself in the first half.
The all out was inflicted in the 14th minute by Pardeep Narwal as the home crowd cheered looking at the scoreline as the visitors trailed by 4 points. By the end of the half, the lead had decreased to 3 points as Randhir Singh prepared himself for a tough half-time talk.
Besides Rohit who contributed 9 points in a dozen raids, the others who contributed substantially to the winners’ tally were defender Mohit Chhillar(4), Pawan Kumar K (6). So good was the stranglehold that the winners gained due to Pardeep and super tackles from Kuldeep that they never needed the services of all-rounder Rajesh Mondal in attack.

With the score at 19-15 in favour of the Patna Pirates, former Bengaluru Bulls’ player Pardeep Narwal won a couple of points for his team. For the Bengaluru Bulls, former Patna Pirates player Rohit Kumar made the deficit smaller by winning 2 points in the resulting raid.
With 5 minutes to go in the match,Surender Nada’s team trailed by 8 points as they set up a tense finale. However, the Patna Pirates, through brilliant raiding by Mondal and great tackling by Kuldeep ensured the visitors didn’t get any closer as they sealed out a 6-point win.
