Bengaluru Bulls won their third match in five attempts in Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 with a 30-28 win over Telugu Titans.
Rohit Kumar amassed 11 points for the Bengaluru Bulls while Rahul Chaudhari’s 9 points went in vain as Bengaluru Bulls exacted revenge on Telugu Titans for their loss last season.
Telugu Titans’ defence was exposed and its raids were not sufficient to make up for the points lost as Bengaluru Bulls raiders, particularly Rahul Chaudhari and Nilesh Salunkhe returned to courts with many successful raids.
From the 10th minute, it was all Bengaluru Bulls as they hammered through the Telugu Titans defenders with ease. Nilesh Salunkhe began the demolition, which was completed by Rahul as the defense duo of Mohit and Nada.
The MVP of the third season won 11 points in his 24 raids, which involved 8 touch points and 3 bonus points.
Telugu Titans who could boast of two big victories over their opponents in the not too distant past came against a different outfit which seemed determined to do a course correction.
Telugu Titans’ defence continued to fail even as Rahul and Nilesh earned a few points but the home team suffered an all out before half time and trailed 11-16 at the break.
Bengaluru Bulls’s gameplan was quite clear ‘ Keep playing the defense well and let Rohit do all the raiding. They executed their plan to perfection although it looked like Telugu Titans would make a comeback here and there it was the Bulls who kept the lead intact.
Both the teams exchanged blows till the end of the match as the match ended 30-28 in favor of the Bengaluru Bulls. With this result,Bengaluru Bulls climbed to the second spot and are in strong contention of the top spot just two points separating them from the top Puneri Paltan.
