Thailand posted an easy win over Kenya in the 15th match of Kabaddi World Cup 2016 season 3 at The Arena by TransStadia in Ahmedabad. Thailand won by a lead of 32 points (53-21). Thailand raider and skipper Khomsan Thongkham (14 points) and Khunakon Chanjaroen (10 points) made the victory possible for Thailand. Sarawut Hopet continued his fine form into the game and earned four crucial tackle points to give the defending champions 8-1 lead with 11 minutes left in the first half. Next few minutes saw successful raids from both the teams. At the midway stage, Thailand led 22-2 by inflicting two all outs against their rivals. The first came in very early in the 7th minute to propel the winners 11-1. The momentum was provided by Kenya’s Elphas Otieno with a super raid worth three points. Thailand consistent performer Khomsan Thongkham (14 points) and Khunakon Chanjaroen got into the scoring act too. The latter’s score of ten points swelled his team’s tally to 22-5 on the stroke of the interval. The match was won and lost at that stage itself. Substitute Julius Nyaduwa and John Muremwa from Kenya covered himself with glory by scoring four points each. This one only helped reduce the margin by a few points only. David Mosambayi(c) the youngster made a few amends in the end by making some clean tackles. In the end, it was the Thailand who proved to be the better of the two.
