U Mumba go out of PKL Season 4 even after a win against Dabang Delhi 38-34

Rishank Devadiga for U Mumba turned out to be their man of the hour as he pulled his team through to a seemingly impossible 38-34 win over Dabang Delhi in Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 at Delhi.

Pursuing qualification to the semis after Pune’s win, U Mumba’s start was littered with complacent performances. Both the teams exchanged blows in the initial stages. It wasn’t long before Rishank Devadiga restored parity in this low-scoring encounter, but Kashi’s spectacular raid restored their 2-point lead in the very next minute.
In the 17th minute, the home team were on the verge of inflicting an all out and they inflicted it and went into the half leading 24-14.
Continuing their run, the team from Mumbai made 6 points in a row to reduce the lead 24-20at Delhi.
The second half saw the winners come back and extend their lead to 34-30 and further at 38-33 with about two minutes left on the clock.

Rishank garnered four points, two each in two raids. At that time the winners used Anup and Rakesh to while away precious seconds with their trademark empty raids.

Even though U Mumba won,  they could not qualify for the semifinals because of the score difference even though both Pune and them had 42 points each.
