Will Pune Rise??

Last 2 Seasons Bleak for Puneri Paltans

Puneri Paltan is coached by Ashok Shinde and was captained by Wazir Singh for the first two seasons. The team was at the bottom of the table in the first season and had put their hopes to change this in their second season. The team brutally lost twelve matches of the fourteen that they had played in the first season. Sadly, the tremendous support provided by the fans also could not change the fate of the Puneri Paltan in the second season. They could not climb up the leader board and occupied the last position in the points table facing eleven defeats, one less than that of the first season. So we could say their performance improved a little, but still not what the fans wanted.

But this time, they are going in for the kill.

They have bought players like Manjeeth Chillar, Ajay Thakur from Bengaluru Bulls and Deepak Hooda, Sachin Shingade from Telugu titans and are looking a solid team and a team all geared up to take the title. Now they have a balanced team on paper with great raiders and good all rounders.
Can they? That remains a question only time can answer. But as it is they look strong in paper.
They have got a strong team and a superb captain in Manjeet Chillar. With all the talent they have bought, they are a shoo in for the semifinals. But this is Kabaddi and anything can happen!!
